We often use the conditional and we do it when we SPECULATE about the
present moment, the future or the past. That means that we IMAGINE,
DREAM that things are/were different than they are/were!!!!
FIRST CONDITIONAL - we want things to be different in the PRESENT moment - It is POSSIBLE! -
ex- If I study a lot, I will pass my exams (you can do it, it is possible!!!!)
2nd CONDITIONAL - we want things to be different but we are not sure if we want to take the effort. We dream a bit. It is a little bit more difficult but it is still possible!
ex- If I studied a lot, I would pass the exam (Am I going to try?, you still have time, it depends on you!!!!)
3rd CONDITIONAL - we want to change the PAST but it is IMPOSSIBLE because we can't recuperate that moment or situation
ex - If I had studied a lot, I would have passed my exams (you are in August and you failed and you can't change the past)
